We are currently looking for a Treating Plant Operator to join the Marwood Ltd team located in Brookfield, Nova Scotia!
Marwood Ltd. is a dynamic producer of value added forest products for residential, commercial and industrial construction industries. With several operations in Atlantic Canada, we serve markets throughout North America and Europe.
The primary responsibility of this position is the organization, operation and production of the treating plant and drying area to ensure the product is treated according to specifications and goals are met in a safe and efficient manner. This position will be a regular shift rotation of 2 weeks of days (Monday -Friday 7:00 am – 4:30 pm) and then 2 weeks of nights (Sunday – Thursday 4:30pm – 1:00 am. Medical benefits and a RRSP will be available to you at 9 months of service. We offer an Employee Family Assistance Program (EFAP), and that is available upon hire.
The ideal candidate shall possess a minimum educational level of grade 12 or equivalent. Candidates must be mature, reliable and self-motivated. The successful applicant will be detail-oriented, efficient in communication, be organized and can make responsible decisions.
Wage: $16.00/hr +0.50 premium on nights
