With multiple operations in Atlantic Canada, we’re on the lookout for a passionate individual to join our growing team at our Brookfield, Nova Scotia location.
Position Available: Mechanical Engineer
Working with the Operations Team, you will be involved in capital projects, maintenance and operations and will collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver innovative engineering solutions.
The primary responsibilities of this position are:
- Problem solve and trouble shoot process equipment and systems
- Design and implementation of in-plant projects
- Create and modify technical drawings
- Budget preparation
- Quotation evaluations
- Documenting processes, procedures and results clearly and accurately
- Supervising and assisting trades personnel and contractors
The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in mechanical engineering along with two years experience. They must have strong interpersonal, organizational and communications skills and have a high attention to detail. They must have demonstrated the ability to work effectively with operations, maintenance and technical teams, as well as be able to work independently. Candidates with relevant backgrounds that have different combinations of education and experience are encouraged to apply.
