Join Marwood Ltd., an innovative producer of premium forest products serving residential, commercial, and industrial construction industries across North America and Europe. With multiple operations in Atlantic Canada, we’re on the lookout for an Industrial Mechanic to join our team at our Edmundston, NB location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repairs across site operations, including pumps, gearboxes, electric motors, conveyors, and other sawmill equipment.
- Implement preventive maintenance, including lubrication, greasing, oil changes, and machinery inspections.
- Conduct welding and general carpentry tasks.
- Monitor and aid workplace safety by identifying and addressing hazards.
- Inspect and maintain equipment for safety compliance and optimal performance.
- Provide input for maintenance planning and support company goals.
- Fulfill any other required duties.
What You Bring to the Table:
The ideal candidate will have a Red Seal Millwright license or equivalent experience. Preferably,
candidates should possess familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics, ability to lift 50 lbs., general
carpentry skills, and proficiency in MIG, ARC, and TIG welding. Emphasizing safety and efficiency,
this role requires someone with adequate attention to detail and a commitment to getting tasks
right the first time. Previous manufacturing experience or exposure to conveyors and sawmill
machinery is advantageous.
